Knysna Backpackers is home to EDGE of AFRICA volunteers where we base all of our award winning Knysna Volunteer Projects. Here we host volunteers from all over the world on a number grassroots programs which make a real and ethical difference to our local communities and eco-volunteer projects.

You can choose to join our short term programs during your stay at the backpackers – it is a great way to see the area and give back!

You can also choose a longer stay (2 weeks+) on an all inclusive program which will immerse you into our local culture and environment.
